Australian Foundation Systems' client was Brisland and the head contractor is Energy Australia.
Foundation Solution:
Australian Foundation Systems carried out shoring work for existing 132KV substation, the system we have used is Bored & Beam method using 250UC73 Universal column, the geotech condition indicate that the rock level about 2.0m from EGL, and the requirement by Energy Australia design engineers to install the columns 3.0m below basement level, which we had to drill in to 2000-2500 Kpa rock strength about 3.5m. Australian Foundation Systems have used 500mm dia heavy duty Core Barrels to get through the rock.
