The Environment

Australian Foundation Systems is committed to having a positive impact on the environment during all stages of our involvement in the construction process

By nature we consider the Screw Pile product is the most environmentally friendly foundation product on the market.

With the environment playing such a key part in any construction process we have made a commercial decision to ensure that all existing and new products are designed to minimize and where possible actually have a positive influence on the environment.

Screw Piles have been used in a number of ecologically sensitive projects over the years particularly by the National Parks for boardwalks and lightweight structures.

Screw Piles were also used extensively by the Homebush Bay Authority during the 2000 Olympic Games to avoid disturbing the heavily contaminated soils that are present in this site.

Australian Foundation Systems have also been working with a number of developers and builders to develop environmentally friendly structures including the recent ECO-Challenge building project in Rose Bay NSW.

Australian Foundation Systems has taken it one step further by:

  • Designing our Screw Piers to minimise wastage
  • Planning our projects and scheduling to decrease truck movements
  • Educating our clients to the benefits or using Screw Piers
  • Educating our staff to work in a environmentally efficient manner

Australian Foundation Systems have made a commitment to “Make a difference”.
